MARK SCHEME
ANSWER: Transpiration is the loss of water vapour from the aerial parts of the plant through the stomata (3 marks)


ANSWER: Transpiration pull causes water that contains dissolved nitrates to go up the plant. (2marks)


ANSWER: The dye diffuses into the root hair cells through the cell wall and into the xylem in the roots, and goes up the stem by transpiration pull. (5 marks)

ANSWER: The kidneys are organs of excretion that filter and  remove urea,excess salts and water from the blood to be released as urine. (5 marks!)
