photosynthesis, carbon dioxide enters the leaf by
diffusion through the
stomata. Carbon dioxide is converted to
glucose by
reaction with water, in the presence of
light and
chloroplast (7 marks)
(actually we usually write chlorophyll but chloroplast is more accurate as the chloroplast contain ENZYMES and CHLOROPHYLL)
The glucose made during photosynthesis is converted to sucrose (plant sugar) and also starch for storage. How did the sugar go from leaf to root? Phloem!
