Offspring that produce the desired traits are allowed to inbreed (4th point). However, inbreeding can result in accumulation of recessive alleles and lead to genetic illnesses (7th point) Total: 6 marks :)
ANSWER FOR part (b)
How to answer (b)
Asexual reproduction in plants, example in the production of good fruit from date palm trees (1st point), results in a large production of genetically identical offspring (*2 marks max) that produce good fruit, therefore there is no variation (2nd point), and no dangers associated with inbreeding (3rd point), Total: 5 marks (max is 4) :)
